SOV Young Soloist

As part of SOV Young Soloist a young soloist will accompany SOV Young from season 2023-24. SOV Young is a symphonic youth orchestra by and for young people aged between 14 and 20, based in Ghent.

Edition 2024/25

For this edition, we are seeking a young violinist to perform Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor. This project will take place from April 15 to April 21, 2025. The orchestra will be under the direction of conductor Martijn Dendievel.

After an exciting audition we've selected two soloists: Ruben Ide (20) and Georgia Koumentakou (12). Ruben will play during the concert in Miry on the 19th of April. Georgia will play during the concert in the Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Ter-Duinenchurch in Koksijde on the 21st of April.
